Cornmeal Records founder Charlie GaylordCornmeal was founded in 2000 by Maine musician Charlie Gaylord. Over the past thirteen years we have pressed over 63,000 CDs and in 2004 The Portland Phoenix opined that “Cornmeal must be declared as the preeminent local label”. Our CDs have been written about in Entertainment Weekly, The Boston Globe, No Depression Magazine, Downeast Magazine and The Boston Herald, among others. 100% of the proceeds from our CD compilations go to local non-profits.
